Sinton, Texas
As expected between the heat and the blood letting yesterday, my body is running a little slowed down. Grocery shopping was achieved today without much hassle from anything. The A/C in Comfort Castle is doing a great job.
The grass was mown early this morning by the city. So now it is getting watered by OFM. It will be nice tomorrow and for the weekend. You can really tell the difference when the water from the sprinkler started falling on the Castle. It helped the A/C noticeably.
A brilliant (or maybe just dim) idea came to me earlier today. Now in OFM Details is a listing for my preferred campgrounds. It will be updated as memory happens to work again. The campgrounds are strictly my opinion based on how much my stay at them was enjoyed. It has very little to do with how pretty, full featured or anything logical. It is simply my feelings for the campground. It would surprise me if your opinion of the park came anywhere close to agreeing with mine. My opinion is usually a stand alone and by myself opinion. Searching OFM Adventures and some blind luck will find pictures of them from when the team stayed there.
It was fun hitting golf balls for about fifteen minutes today. Then the heat was so much that it was smarter to go into the a/c to try to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM.
I think it would be neat if there was a way on your blog to set an area up with a score 1-10 being the best and rate the ones you have had toooo much fun at. Then those of us who are campers can get some idea of places that might be worth investigating. Glad to here you are doing well. We are off to Abilene State Park for the weekend.

It's a good think you have A/C, Barney, otherwise it would be DIScomfort Castle, and you wouldn't be having tooo much fun then. Hoping for cooler weather or places for you soon...
ReplyDeleteK & G, It is possible to give ratings like that, but they are still very subjective. Check www.rvparkreviews.com for more ratings.
ReplyDeleteTamia, I will be on the coast soon where it is normally 2 or 3 degrees cooler. I cannot understand the tent campers I see in this heat. The coolest I saw last night was 74 for a few minutes.
Will you also include the price?
ReplyDeleteIn my travels the prices change so often (never down)that putting prices in would be a waste of time. I tend to cheaper places. When I find the websites or phone numbers, I will add that info so current prices can be checked.
ReplyDeleteYo Barney, When ya get around to hole #4 look off in the trees and see if ya can find my golf ball.
ReplyDeleteI love that golf course but that #18 is a killer. Been playing there for close to 10 years now every time I make it to Port A.(once or twice a year).
Speak'n of Port A, ya got to go play the new course. Absolutely beautiful and very challenging. Make sure ya take your camera.
